Why do I write songs
If you won’t ever hear them
Why do I draw pictures
that you will never see

What’s the point of dancing
If you don’t hear the rhythm
What good are these feelings
that you don’t share with me

Why do I dream
When I wake alone
Why do I speak
In silent Prose

Why do I regret
and not atone
and these feelings
what good are those

Why do I play music
While you don’t seem to hear
Why do I reach out
when you don’t reach for me

What’s the point of weeping
When you don’t shed a tear
what good are these feelings
that you don’t share with me

Why do I dream
and wake alone
why do I speak
in silent prose

Why do I regret
and not atone
and these feelings
what good are those
This is a poem that will be a song. I haven't yet been able to sit down and write the melody, or figure out a good chord progression. So I guess It isn't finished, but the words are... and this incarnation of the song is finished.

The song was written about a girl, Who incedently could be considered the inspiration for the character of Joan in the Joe Average comics. It should be fairly self explanatary.
